Will Van Wieren

Pastor

 

Pastor Will is in his 16th year of full-time ministry and is so excited to be back in his home community. A native of Rowan County, Will is a proud graduate of South Rowan High School.
He earned his Bachelor’s Degree from Catawba College, a Master’s Degree (M.Div) from Hood Theological Seminary, and is an Ordained Elder. Pastor Will and his wife, Megan, have been married for 13 years and have two daughters, Mya and Cora. Pastor Will is a gifted musician and enjoys playing the piano, guitar, and singing. Pastor Will loves the outdoors and in his downtime you’ll often find him hunting, fishing, or woodworking.     
 

Mack King IV

Executive Director
of Ministry

Mack brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to our church staff.  As a youth pastor and former executive for a nonprofit ministry, Mack’s gifts match this position well.  Mack will be working to provide administrative oversight, facility operations, and pastoral support.  Mack has a calling to pastoral ministry.  He has a bachelor’s degree from UNC Greensboro and will begin seminary training on a part-time basis in the fall.  Mack and his wife Sarah have three children with one on the way.

LISA TROUTMAN

MUSIC DIRECTOR

Lisa has been at the helm of the music ministries of First Church for 27 years. She heads up the music for our Sunday worship services, directs the chancel choir, the children’s choirs, and leads the handbells. We are so privileged to have Lisa here with us and we think you’ll agree as soon as you experience the diverse and spirit-filled music that is a part of life here at First Church!

Katherine Aldridge

Katherine has a passion for children’s ministry. As a former Kindergarten teacher with Kannapolis City Schools and a child therapist with Partners in Learning she brings a wealth of experience of working with children.  Katherine has hit the ground running and is already gearing up to lead this year’s VBS.  Katherine and her husband Charlie have one son, little Charlie.

Melanie comes to us with 19 years of experience as a church office administrator.  She has a passion for serving the church and is very skilled in technology, communication, and church finance. Melanie is a native of China Grove but now lives in Faith with her husband Jerry. They have two adult children and 3 grandchildren.
